"Smiles and Laughter"

Good morning to another segment of Jus Sayn!  I want to share with you the decision to smile and laugh especially during turbulent times.

'Smiles And Laughter'
By Dionna Ophelia

With so much mayhem in the world today, some so heart wrenching that it literally feels like it's choking our joy.  I made a decision that no matter what season I am in in life there is a ray of sunshine and I will maximize every moment.

Studies have shown that "laughter reduces pain, increases job performance, connects people emotionally and improves the flow of oxygen to the heart and brain.  It establishes and restores a positive emotional climate....."

I'm not oblivious to hardships that we do encounter, yet laughter is healthy and lightens the load in a world of uncertainty and callously cold.......So smile and laugh......Jus Sayn!!!

"How"
By Dionna Ophelia (copywritten & published)
How do you go on when answers don't come?
And how do you define yourself with a parent of one?
How can such pain turn to great strength?
When the depths of my struggles exceeds its length?
Only in God's name can things get better
I sure hope some answers will come out this letter.
How can you keep dark thoughts far away?
When echoes of memories seem louder some days.
With no direction, how do you know where to turn?
Struggling with the remnants of pain's burn.
Though so much anguish I still manage to smile
Signs from above, only Heaven knows how!

"CLAIM IT"

Welcome to Friday's segment of Jus Sayn.  I hope you have a pleasant weekend and be safe.

'Claim It'
By Dionna Ophelia

Does it seem distant?  I'm speaking of dreams and desires that have been in the making.  You question will it ever surface?  So much blood, sweat and tears.....is this really for me?  Whatever your heart's desires are and aspirations, know that you are not alone when encountering set-backs, detours and relentless hurdles just when it seems you're on the brink of a breaking point.

Sometimes it's a matter of regrouping or re-strategizing, however the case make your claim.  What you don't feed will die, so keep nourishing that dream.  See yourself already there having exactly what you desire and don't loosen the grip.  It may be delayed but not denied.....even against all odds.  Jus Sayn!!!

Yes
I manifest
To be blessed
Nevertheless
Won't contest
To carry out destiny's quest
Aim high, not second best
For prosperity I confess
As seeds of faith and wisdom I digest!

"SHOES"

Good morning.....welcome to today's segment of Jus Sayn.

'Shoes'
By Dionna Ophelia

Human nature can sometimes be so critical, casting our comments and opinions about others without having legit information.  Regardless of how relevant the source, until we hear it from "the horse's mouth" we are still ignorant to the fact.  Time after time I have been so guilty of it and I promise you that I have been working on it.

Instead of trying to blueprint someone else's life, how about an uplifting word, some genuine concern and encouragement.  We all need it some time or another.   Jus Sayn!!!

I'm not perfect, never said that I was,
And whatever I do is just what I does.

Sometimes I'm impulsive, Ok, I'll admit,
But selfish and jealous that's not me one bit.

I'll give what I've got if that's what it takes,
And sometimes my giving is my mistake.

You live and learn, hey that's just life,
Along with pleasure comes pain and strife.

So when you speak on me, I have nothing to lose,
As I can recall you've never walked in my shoes.

"Recycle of Life"

Greetings on this Wednesday.  Thank you for joining in on another segment of Jus Sayn.

"Recycle of Life"
By Dionna Ophelia

I was watching an interesting show on how this community hunted, fished and basically lived off the environment as a way of life.  I observed their labor from reconstructing their out-house, to hunting and trapping animals, fishing, canning and preserving various food by jars, also wrapping and freezing ample food in storage for the cold seasons ahead.

They weren't into killing for game but only for food and survival.  What intrigued me the most was their practice and respect of the recycle of life.  For instance, when in the process of beheading a chicken, they didn't want to literally scare the chicken to death.  By the time the chicken was beheaded it never saw it coming.  The chicken was at a calm, relaxed state.  The person explained that the higher an animal's adrenaline is the greater the chance of the meat being that much tougher.  Also they methodically showed how they discarded animal's blood and scraps.  As a respect to the recycle of life making use of every part before disposing of it several feet into the ground.

It got me to thinking about the human life and how we feed off the earth and it's inhabitants.  In death our remains are buried in ground or at sea and cremated.  But what about our spirits?  Many people worldwide have died momentarily or been in an unconscious state sharing similar stories of Heaven and in some instances Hell.  I firmly respect the recycle of life and also believe when the human body expires the spirit lives on.  The question is where?  Jus Sayn!!!

"Eternity"

As the wind blows and the grass bend
Does our final destination ever end?

Flocked with flames or flying high
Where does life go when the body dies?

Does the light in the tunnel seem to get bright?
Or is it followed by horrible screams of the night?

Where one life leads to the next we'll see
As long as peace follows in Eternity.

"Seeking and Revealing"

Good day and welcome back after an extended holiday weekend.  Today's segment of Jus Sayn is more on a personal note called Seeking and Revealing.  Enjoy your day.

Seeking and Revealing
By Dionna Ophelia

I've come to terms as a woman of faith that life has its own way of teaching.  I've learned some lessons up-close-and-personal.  As my memories sway concerning my life, it was 2002 I knew from within that I needed transformation.  Yes, my heart meant well but somewhere, somehow I needed change in the depths of my mind and soul.

Who better to seek other than the Creator?  And full-force I did omitting religion for answers and guidance but even more so truth.  This is when the serenity prayer I had often quoted became my anthem.  The real truth of the matter was I wasn't going to get all the answers to the majority of questions and confusion that flooded my soul.  Yet it was imperative that I no longer intended to keep trying to do the right thing the wrong way.  I needed Divine revelation and I begin to surrender unto the Lord.

Little did I know the journey to transformation would reveal to me my own war within, my struggles, and the insecurities.  I also began to learn and know the source of my strength, my purpose, the force behind my voice.  Many times like others, I prayed and prayed for my heart's desires to manifest.  Was I deserving of them?  Yes....but was I ready and equipped for them?  No!  At this point in my life it was inevitable for the desolate areas in my life to cease.  Wanting to live beyond the glamour of money and what came with it;  For what good was it if I weren't internally free.  The inner me needed to come forth and be, for the more I seek that much more was revealed as it "Resurrected Me"......Jus Sayn!!!

"Resurrected Me"

For:  Taylin

Was cast so low, deep in a dark pit
Didn't know how I got there or back there how to get
Definitely didn't want to live like this.

The life I once knew faded away
Reluctant to face another strange day
So cold and rigid, trying to find my way.

Felt like a complete waste
Of existence and energy, lost my pace
The loneliness and pain will it be erased?

What had I done, was a curse on my life
And how did I become this monument of strife?
Lord, help me turn my wrongs into right.

So I turned a new page still lost in the struggle
Place my trust in him when encountered by trouble
For enduring he promised to give back double.

Ones that knew me aren't sure who I've become
Had a heart of stone and feelings were numb
But today I'm being that better someone.

Found life in the words of the Divine
Aware that my life alone isn't mine
Heavenly rays on me now shine.

Lord, I know it had to be you
Broke me in pieces to bring me through.
New life in my soul came from Thee
I'm in the land of the living, the Resurrected Me!
