"Recycle of Life"
By Dionna Ophelia

I was watching an interesting show on how this community hunted, fished and basically lived off the environment as a way of life.  I observed their labor from reconstructing their out-house, to hunting and trapping animals, fishing, canning and preserving various food by jars, also wrapping and freezing ample food in storage for the cold seasons ahead.

They weren't into killing for game but only for food and survival.  What intrigued me the most was their practice and respect of the recycle of life.  For instance, when in the process of beheading a chicken, they didn't want to literally scare the chicken to death.  By the time the chicken was beheaded it never saw it coming.  The chicken was at a calm, relaxed state.  The person explained that the higher an animal's adrenaline is the greater the chance of the meat being that much tougher.  Also they methodically showed how they discarded animal's blood and scraps.  As a respect to the recycle of life making use of every part before disposing of it several feet into the ground.

It got me to thinking about the human life and how we feed off the earth and it's inhabitants.  In death our remains are buried in ground or at sea and cremated.  But what about our spirits?  Many people worldwide have died momentarily or been in an unconscious state sharing similar stories of Heaven and in some instances Hell.  I firmly respect the recycle of life and also believe when the human body expires the spirit lives on.  The question is where?  Jus Sayn!!!

"Eternity"

As the wind blows and the grass bend
Does our final destination ever end?

Flocked with flames or flying high
Where does life go when the body dies?

Does the light in the tunnel seem to get bright?
Or is it followed by horrible screams of the night?

Where one life leads to the next we'll see
As long as peace follows in Eternity.
